KNOW YOUR WHY
I have been asking myself what I want. What I want from this day, this life, who I want to be as a wife, as a mother, as a friend, as a coach and speaker.
For realskies, I listen to this Simon Sinek TED TALK called How Great Leaders Inspire Action at least every 73 days.
He asks questions like:
What is your cause, your belief?
Why do you exist?
What is your purpose?
Why do you get out of bed in the AM?
Why should anyone care?
So with all the wants I have been ruminating on, what I really want to get clear on first is WHY.
Hiking at the end of the day around golden hour last night jumping with Evi girl on the trail and talking with Chris and being in awe by the red fox that ran through the forest right next to us and the pink quartz I found on the trail and Nora’s laughter echoing through the trees and the lactic acid slowly, ever so slowly leaving my body after running that 1/2 marathon ... this is my WHY.
And yes, it sounds magical and very instagrammy. Because it is that good. Most of our WHYs are that good.

I do what I do for these simple moments with them.
