Some Monday’s I want to start with all the inspiration and yet other Monday’s I want to keep it real chill and talk about the weather. So get this. It’s May 20 and forecast shows snow in Colorado. What? Like 5ish to possible 10 inches in Evergreen. What? I would like to formally apologize that I took the bed heaters off my bed early and perhaps had a small hand in this jinx. My bad. We left Daddy in Colorado this week to tear down a wall in the living room and re-do the hardwood floors. And well, Nora and Evi and I spoke this morning and we miss him a lot. Nora said Mama doesn’t sing the songs as well as Dad does. And Evi said that some times mom’s armpits stink when we snuggle. So see you soon, we all miss you @chrishynes! 💚💚💚💚
Currently driving down the mountain to the airport. Like a crazy person, I got both kiddos coming with me ... dear airplane gods, please place a retired pre-school teacher next to us! Off to my hometown of Houston to drop the kiddos with the grandparents and then roadtrip to Austin to rock the bliss and eat all the TexMex! We are speaking at the @birthfit Summit with some powerhouse humans - both speaker lineup and attendees! You in? Only a couple tickets left! Link in the link tree! Friday evening we have our Bliss Tour landing at @sukhayogaaustin for an immersion workshop into our bliss bodies - a life design workshop deep diving into values and alignment in our bodies on and off the yoga mat and in our whole lives. So excited to bring the bliss to ATX, tickets still avail! Goodies from @carbon38 @mindbody @karacotta_ceramics and @drinko2recovery! Tag your Austin crew, I would love to meet them! Okay, back to the airport gods, I would also be open to a pediatrician, another mama or some teenager who is like an award winning babysitter sitting next to us. Offering options. Looking at my Summer reading list and wanted to grab some recommendations from you! I’ll take them all, self help, fiction and non-fiction, your fav memoir and even the kids books! Send it! I am currently reading @michelleobama beautiful book, ‘BECOMING’ with my Novel Grapes book club (join!) and while it took me a minute to get into, her and Barack just got married and I am loving it! She reads it on @audible so I sped it up x3 and am loving it for road trips and all the travel I have this month! Oh! And I bought an incredible children’s book called “Love Makes a Family” by @sophiebeerdraws. It is a book for EVERY family and Evi made me read it twice last night. Must check it out! So let me know what is in your stack! I read two books per month and here is some real talk: I only read one book at a time people. One, not six. That is some Marie Kondo style right there! Okay books, go! Share in comments! And in this pic is my fav book from the late and so great Mary Oliver, her compilation of poetry called ‘Devotions’. I can feel it when I read it.
